THE team that built and sold Herald Resources for A$580 million a decade ago is back together, and is seeking between $4.6-6 million to explore in Western Australia and Tasmania.

Corona Resources is headed up by executive chairman Michael Wright, Herald’s former managing director, ex-Herald chairman Terrence Allen and ex-director Brian Hurley, also a former chairman of the Diggers & Dealers Forum.

Allen was involved in the discovery of the Sandstone, Three Mile Hill, Tindals and Lynas Find gold mines in WA and the Dairi lead zinc discovery in North Sumatra, Indonesia, which was the focus of Herald’s takeover in 2008-09, while Hurley was recently been credited with the generation and discovery of South Darwin in Tasmania.

The company has been drilling at its flagship Spargos Reward project in the Coolgardie region of WA, and last year outlined resource for the Spargos Reward and Lady Allison deposits of some 625,000 tonne grading 4.2 grams per ...
