Lefroy Exploration’s Lucky Strike looks increasingly like a new gold system with the results from a further nine RC holes more than doubling the strike to over 160m, the explorer claimed of its flagship project in Western Australia today.
Among significant assay results were 12m at 1.51 grams per tonne from 52m; 15m at 2.18gpt from 42m; and 6m at 5.37gpt from 79m, including 3m at 10.3gpt from 80m. The latter was sulphide mineralisation in fresh rock.
The banded iron formation-hosted mineralisation is still open along strike and at depth and follow-up RC and diamond drilling being planned for March, to better understand the wider 3km trend that has been identified undercover in the prolific Lake Lefroy area.
