In 2017, MMG produced a record 598,196 tonnes of copper, at the upper end of guidance of 560,000-615,000t, and 86,595t of zinc.
Las Bambas produced 453,749 tonnes of copper in 2017, its first full year of commercial production, at the higher end of guidance of 420,000-460,000t.
C1 costs were US99c per pound, within guidance of 95c-$1.05/lb.
Guidance for 2018 is lower at 410,000-430,000t at $1-1.10/lb reflecting lower grades.
However, MMG said the mine would produce 2 million tonnes of copper concentrate in its first five years.
MMG CEO Jerry Jiao said Las Bambas had been established as one of the world’s great copper mines.
