Gold miner Alkane still searching for Dubbo financing

ALKANE Resources has upped its gold production guidance as it continues to seek financing for its exotic Dubbo project in New South Wales.

The Dubbo project will produce zirconium, hafnium, niobium, yttrium and rare earth products, which have a wide variety of growing applications and which in many cases have a supply outlook clouded by environmental constraints in China.

Alkane needs between A$600 million and $1.3 billion to get underway at the development-ready project, with annual earnings for the base case scenario (costing $1.3 billion) previously put at $320 million.

The company said it has presented to numerous local and international fund managers and customers in the December quarter, and would be updating financial for the project next month.
