Myanmar Metals’ scoping study for the Bawdwin project within the emerging Southeast Asian nation has confirmed the potential for a technically and financially robust development based on an revised inferred resource of 75.9Mt at 4.6% lead, 2.3% zinc, 0.25% copper and 119 grams per tonne silver.

The resource was based on more than 56km of historical underground sampling and geological mapping of exploration drives and the open pit, plus almost 3000m of core drilling and 669m of channel sampling undertaken by the company in 2017.

The resource is classed as inferred due to the lack of quality control for the historical data, and that restricts the company from disclosing forecast production and financial information from the scoping study.
